Housekeeping Staff Worker:
Harbin Hot Springs needs 2 Full Time Housekeeping Staff members. The Hot Springs is a nonprofit clothing optional hot spring retreat center located in Middletown, CA. Our hot springs facilities are open to the public (24hrs per day, 7 days per week, year-round, this includes all holidays).
Currently our facilities consist of 35+ guest rooms and 10 administrative buildings along with many hot spring fed pools. The facilities will grow over time as we rebuild.
Housekeeping Day Shift Job Description
Housekeepers will perform a combination of general cleaning duties to maintain Harbin’s private guest accommodations (rooms) and/or other retreat facilities, such as offices & shared common areas. Duties may include stripping/making beds, replenishing linens, dusting, cleaning room facilities, vacuuming and occasional deep cleaning tasks. They are responsible for emptying trash, cleaning windows, spot cleaning furniture and mopping, as needed. They also may refresh linen supplies upon request of guest or management. This role requires shift work.

- Daily cleaning assignments: rooms/tent cabins, offices, restrooms/dressing rooms & shared public/employee spaces (Garden Barn Break Room Cleaning)
- Meet time management & efficiency goals to ensure the smooth flow of room turn over.
- Room Packing, Refresh Stay Overs Rooms
- Early check outs cleaning: rooms/tent cabins
- Restocking of Supplies: rooms/tent cabins/camping bathrooms, as needed
- Grove/Tent Cabin Laundry collection/distribution
- Reporting guest housekeeping requests/ room maintenance problems.
- Massage Laundry pickup/restocking
- Special Cleaning Projects, as needed
Experience and Skills
- Must be detailed oriented and motivated to support our guest experience delivering high quality cleanliness and care of our rooms and property.
- Clear communication skills.
- Ability to work both in a team setting as well as accomplish individual tasks efficiently, as needed.
- Must always consider and practice proper body movements, especially when lifting heavy objects or engaging in repetitive tasks.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to mild cleaning products, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The physical environment is often uneven and may involve access via stairs and/or ramps. This position works both inside and outside and is therefore exposed to the elements and any extreme weather events related to seasonal weather. There is daily exposure to biodegradable/eco-friendly cleaning chemicals.

Occasionally the employee may need to move furniture and regularly lift and carry linen bags and bundles up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Sunday-Thursday 8:30-5 pm
and
Monday-Friday 8:30-5 pm
Rate $17:00 per hour plus tips.
