Our Manufacturing Machine Operator supports Mativ’s Filtration Advanced Materials Business. This individual will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation on machine lines including set up, start up and effective use of line equipment, including auxiliary equipment, tooling changes, monitoring and testing, and production reporting.
The shift hours are 7:45pm until 8:00am (night shift), but will train during day hours for first few weeks. Mandatory overtime may be required at times.
Hourly Pay: $20.70
responsibilities:
Set up:
Read and understand schedule, BOM, SOC.
Be able to perform all functions of the set up including:
Select proper tooling; Install Tooling; Insure correct resin
Start up:
Position all controls to SOC; Activate Extruder and miscellaneous drives; Test initial product
Make necessary adjustments; Verify product is in spec
Package product in accordance with packaging instructions
Troubleshoot the process; Perform QC test per SOC & Validate Process is in Control
Store finished product per instructions
Correctly Enters Data in Data Collection
Tooling:
Identify Tooling damage and wear.
Clean and return to stock all used tooling
Safety :
Accident Reporting Procedure
Completes necessary housekeeping duties in work area at all times
Complies with all OSHA/Company safety requirements.
Knowledgeable of location of MSDS, First Aid Supplies, fire extinguishers, exits
qualifications:
Preferred
Forklift qualified
Understand the Data Collection System
Mechanical Background
Understands both Metric and English measuring systems and can convert between the two
Proficient in the use of calipers, micrometers, rulers
Basic computer skills
Basic mathematical skills
Position Demands
Conditions are that of a manufacturing environment:
Air Temperatures can range from cold to hot.
Atmosphere may contain dust, fumes, and odors.
Employees are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including:
Safety shoes (steel toe or composite toe)
Safety Glasses
Employees must adhere to site Entanglement Policy related to dress, hair and clothing.
Protective Gloves, when performing certain tasks
Hearing Protection, when required
Other personal protective equipment as required for certain tasks.
While performing the duties of this job the employee must meet the physical demands:
- Be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
- Be able to work 12-hour shifts.
- Perform repetitive tasks.
- Routinely stand, sit, hear, walk, and talk.
- Reach, climb, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and balance, sometimes in awkward or tight spaces.
- Have good close vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
