Job Summary
At Joshua's In Home Pet Care we're looking for someone who genuinely loves animals to join our pet sitting team. You'll use your personal vehicle to travel between clients homes to care for their pets and provide light home upkeep. Tasks include dog walking, feeding, administering medications, and etc. Every visit is completed within the timeframe our clients have selected, so reliability and time management matter just as much as your love for animals.
Responsibilities
-Walking dogs of all sizes and breeds
-Walking multiple dogs at once
-Feed pets and administer medication as needed
-Take photos during visits and write a summary of the visit to send to clients
-Communicate proactively with clients through our pet sitting software to keep them updated and informed
-Clean up pet waste
-Perform light home upkeep such as collecting mail, watering plants, and etc
-Adapt to each pet's individual routine, personality, and needs
-Follow clients instructions that they upload into their profile
Qualifications
-1 year of animal care experience or 4 years of pet ownership
-Farm animal experience is preferred, but not required.
-High school diploma or GED
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
-Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
- Must have a reliable smartphone with internet access
-Must be able to lift 50 pounds
-Must be comfortable walking approximately 8 miles per day
-Comfortable working outdoors in most weather conditions
-Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred: farm animal experience and availability for overnight care.
Approximate Pay
15 minute visit - $12
30 minute visit - $15
45 minute visit - $18
60 minute visit - $20
90 minute visit - $30
120 minute visit - $45
Extra pet rate - $2 per each additional pet
12 hour Overnight Stay - $80
Overnight extra pet rate - $10 for dogs, $2 per cat, small mammal, ect.
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
