Line Cook – Red Horse Tavern (Bellefonte, PA)

About Us
Red Horse Tavern is a locally owned restaurant, bar, and 6-pack shop in Bellefonte, PA. We serve a casual menu featuring appetizers, sandwiches, salads, and pub favorites in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Line Cook who takes pride in preparing quality food and working as part of a strong kitchen team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
- Set up, stock, and maintain assigned stations before and during service
- Ensure food is prepared consistently and presented correctly
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of work areas
- Follow all food safety and health department guidelines
- Assist with prep work, stocking, and inventory rotation
- Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining quality
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Help with opening, closing, and cleaning duties as assigned
These duties align with common line cook responsibilities such as station setup, food preparation, cooking, maintaining sanitation standards, and supporting kitchen operations.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or line cook experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Availability to work nights and weekends
- Food safety knowledge is a plus
