Night Shift Maintenance Technician
Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour (Based on experience)
Schedule: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM
Position Overview
The Redwoods In Yosemite is seeking a dependable, skilled, and proactive Maintenance Technician to support daily operations, oversee the evening shift, and respond to guest needs across our cabin inventory. This role is essential in ensuring all homes and facilities are safe, well-maintained, and consistently ready to deliver a high-quality guest experience.
You will work both independently and as part of a team, handling a wide range of maintenance tasks, guest service requests, and preventative upkeep in a unique mountain environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and service calls
- Troubleshoot and repair issues involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry
- Perform departure checks on cabins, identifying damages, maintenance needs, or missing items following guest stays
- Complete minor repairs and flag larger issues discovered during departure inspections
- Perform preventative maintenance to reduce future repairs and downtime
- Assist with grounds and seasonal work (pine needles, fire abatement, snow, etc.)
- Identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Maintain accurate work orders, logs, and communication with team members
- Coordinate with housekeeping and front desk to support smooth daily operations
- Safely operate company vehicles, tools, and equipment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, or property management required
- Strong working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and performing hands-on tasks
