Duties
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process cash, credit, and digital payments while maintaining cash handling integrity
- Delivering outstanding guest service
- Manage phone etiquette professionally by answering inquiries promptly and directing calls appropriately
- Cashiering duties including quick and accurate transactions
- Shift closeouts, including maintenance of FOH tip out tracking sheet
- Making and confirming guest reservations
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required: enthusiasm for learning is key
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage guests positively and clearly explain products or promotions
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing math calculations
- Experience with POS systems of familiarity with cashiering technology is advantageous
- Familiarity with MS Excel, Windows, Tripleseat and Open Tables is helpful
- Ability to multitask and process requests in a timely and calm manner
- Knowledge of restaurant operations
Skills Requirment
- High School Diploma or GED a must
- 6 months of cashier experience preferred
