Position Summary

Responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and organization of hotel rooms and public places, managing housekeeping staff, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulation.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise Housekeeping Staff: Manage and coordinate the activities of housekeeping personnel, ensuring they adhere to cleanliness and safety standards.

Training and Development: Train new staff and provide ongoing training to existing employees to maintain high standards of service and efficiency.

Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of linens, room supplies, cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to avoid shortages. Maintaining par levels.

Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness and safety standards.

Guest Relations: Address guest complaints and special requests, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Budget Management: Assist in managing the housekeeping budget, ensuring that payroll and supply costs remain within budgetary constraints.

Reporting: Prepare reports for management regarding housekeeping operations, staff performance, and inventory levels.

Employee Relations: Partners with HR for any issues pertaining to staff including disciplinary actions and related issues.

Payroll: Is responsible to maintain accurate payroll records, edit timecards appropriately and submit payroll completion according to timeframes given.

Qualifications & Experience

3+ years of hotel or resort operations leadership experience required.

5+ years prior experience as a housekeeper.

Competent in written and verbal communication.

Must be able to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time.

Ability to handle pressure situations and exercise good judgment.

Experience in Laundry operation and OSHA safety standards.

Experienced with basic computer skills and operating systems.

Strong communication, decision-making, coaching, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs, including weekends and holidays
