Maita Toyota is seeking an energetic, customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor (ASM) to join our growing service department. We are looking for professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively, and take pride in delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and communicate findings clearly to customers
- Prepare accurate estimates using estimating software, including costs for repairs such as brakes, transmissions, suspension, tire service, shocks & struts, oil changes.
- Upsell additional services and maintenance to enhance vehicle performance and safety while meeting dealership sales goals
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services
- Maintain detailed service writing documentation and update customer records consistently
- Communicate effectively with clients about repair progress, costs, and recommended services to foster trust and satisfaction
- Handle transactions accurately and process payments efficiently
- Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues quickly and accurately
- Stay informed about automotive repair techniques, warranty procedures, and dealership policies to provide expert guidance
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar auto service management role within a dealership or independent shop
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and vehicle maintenance
- Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Knowledge of automotive repair specialties such as transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, tire service, shocks & struts, oil changes, and collision repair
- Sales-driven mindset with the ability to upsell services tactfully while maintaining integrity
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage multiple priorities efficiently
