Title: Senior Tax Associate, Real Estate
Location: Irvine, CA (or Orange County, CA) – hybrid (50% in-office)
Salary: $80K–$122K base (DOE)
Overview
A growing public accounting firm is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to support real estate-focused clients. This role offers a mix of tax compliance, research, and client advisory, with opportunities to contribute to planning strategies and team development.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and S- and C-corporations

Apply knowledge of partnership taxation (Subchapter K) in client engagements

Identify, research, and resolve common tax issues

Support tax planning initiatives and identify opportunities for client optimization

Assist in developing tax strategies aligned with client goals

Contribute to improving service delivery and internal processes

Support practice leadership with planning, budgeting, and strategic initiatives

Mentor and coach junior team members
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or related field

2+ years of public accounting tax experience (U.S. compliance/consulting)

Experience working with multiple entity types

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and build client relationships
Preferred

Master's in Taxation or related field

CPA or progress toward certification
