Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is advantageous
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in patient monitoring and medication administration is a plus
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and maintaining confidentiality in healthcare environments is essential
- Experience as a caregiver, companion
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to set your own schedule and accept client-based assignments
- Professional, compassionate, and dependable
- Strong interpersonal skills to connect empathetically with residents and their families while providing direct support in diverse situations
- APD experience preferred
