Estimator – Architectural Metal Fabrication
Highrise Products is a growing architectural metal fabrication company specializing in railing systems, light structural steel, and miscellaneous metal fabrication for high-rise commercial and residential projects nationwide. The Role:
We’re looking for a motivated Estimator to help us win and deliver more high-rise projects. While direct experience in high-rise railings and architectural metals is ideal, we are open to strong candidates with proven estimating experience in related markets such as structural steel fabrication, ornamental/miscellaneous metals, curtain wall systems, architectural sheet metal, commercial construction, or similar fabrication trades. This position is full-time in office hours of 7:30-4:30, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review architectural/structural drawings, specifications, and bid documents for high-rise and large-scale commercial projects.
- Perform detailed takeoffs and develop complete estimates for railing systems (including glass and balcony railings), light structural steel, miscellaneous metals, and scope-gap items (slab covers, canopies, custom panels, etc.).
- Solicit and negotiate vendor/subcontractor quotes for materials (aluminum, stainless steel, etc.) and services.
- Calculate labor, fabrication, finishing, assembly, shipping, and installation costs.
- Prepare professional bid proposals, scope narratives, and value-engineering alternatives.
- Collaborate with design, engineering, production, and project management teams.
- Support pre-engineering, budget development, and rapid response efforts.
- Track bid results and continuously improve estimating accuracy.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of estimating experience in construction or metal fabrication
(architectural metals, structural steel, ornamental metals, curtain wall/cladding, miscellaneous metals, or closely related fields strongly preferred).
- Solid ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Experience with takeoff software (Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD) and advanced Excel.
- Working knowledge of metal fabrication processes, material costs, and industry standards.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines.
- Collaborative mindset with a partnership-oriented approach.
- Construction Management, Engineering, or related background is a plus.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
