Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Box Truck Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves operating commercial trucks, specifically 15-foot or 20-foot box trucks, to deliver goods efficiently and safely to various locations. The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial truck driving and be comfortable using a personal vehicle for delivery purposes. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to our logistics operations by ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Prefer a candidate with their own box truck.
- Safely operate 15-foot or 20-foot box trucks for daily delivery routes.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring items are handled carefully and securely.
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimize time and fuel consumption.
- Verify delivery addresses, obtain signatures when required, and maintain accurate delivery records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the truck to ensure operational readiness.Skills
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or appropriate licensing for operating box trucks.
- Experience with commercial truck driving, particularly with 15-foot or 20-foot box trucks.
- Ability to operate a personal vehicle for deliveries when necessary.
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and traffic laws related to commercial driving.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to follow scheduled routes precisely.
- Good communication skills for interacting with team members and customers.
- Attention to detail in handling deliveries, documentation, and vehicle inspections.
