Shop Manager/Diesel Mechanic Needed:
Local sanitation company is seeking a Shop Manager/Diesel Mechanic to join our Athens, PA team. While this role focuses on diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, our ideal candidate is also comfortable working in a leadership role. In addition to making repairs, you will also be responsible for creating and monitoring PO’s, managing the other technicians in the shop, maintaining shop inventory, performing preventative maintenance on diesel engines, brakes, transmission, and other systems. Applicants need a valid driver’s license and must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Diagnose and repair issues in diesel engines
· Diagnose and repair issues with hydraulics, brakes, transmission, steering, and other systems
· Perform preventative maintenance
· Perform welding or fabrication tasks on trailers and other equipment as necessary
· Prepare work orders and order parts
· Maintain a clean and safe workplace
Requirements and Qualifications
· Valid driver’s license (CDL strongly preferred)
· Experience with diesel engine repair
· Some Management experience
· Mechanical skills
· Must have Own Tools
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $101,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
