We hire experienced professionals for roles in landscape maintenance, enhancements, snow operations, and field leadership and we are looking for a Lawn Care Technician - Fertilizer Applicator to join our team.
PAY RANGE:
$25-30/hour, pay range is based on experience.
SHIFT:
This is Monday through Friday.
ROLE SUMMARY:
Riverview Landscapes is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lawn Care Technician specializing in fertilizer applications to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying fertilizer and related treatments to residential and/or commercial lawns to promote healthy turf growth and manage weeds. You'll also be responsible for record keeping, report writing, routing, job site inspections, inventory control, equipment maintenance and calibration. The ideal candidate will have experience in turf care, strong customer service skills, and a commitment to safe and effective application practices.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Apply granular and liquid fertilizer, weed control, and other turf management products to lawns using ride-on spreaders, sprayers, or handheld equipment.
- Inspect lawns to diagnose problems related to turf health, such as nutrient deficiencies, pests, or diseases.
- Communicate with customers to provide education on lawn care best practices and application schedules.
- Accurately mix and apply chemicals according to label directions and company standards.
- Maintain accurate service records and complete documentation for each job site as required in Aspire, our contract management software.
- Operate and maintain equipment in a clean, safe, and professional manner.
- Follow all state and federal regulations regarding the use and handling of fertilizers and pesticides.
- Assist with other lawn care maintenance as needed, including seeding, aeration, and pest control.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of three (2) years related experience
- Able to obtain Pesticide Applicator License (Category 3A, 3B & Core)
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Able to identify and diagnose insects, fungus & disease
- Understands and follows all label and instructions for product use
- Enforces all company policies with handling and storage of pesticide products.
- Enforces best practices procedures of mixing and transportation of all pesticide products.
- Properly applies all pesticides
- Will dispose all pesticide container properly and safely
- Effectively operate, calibrate, and maintain equipment
- Must be able to lift 30lbs repeatedly
- Must be able to kneel/bend for extended periods of time
- Must be able to follow direction
- Will follow and enforce all company safety policies and procedures
- Good communication skills
- Good customer service skills
