Job Summary
First Church Preschool seeks a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team and to support learners in our infant room. The ideal candidate will help to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality education and care, ensuring that each child feels valued and supported in their learning journey.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement lesson plans that align with Creative Curriculum, our play-based learning curriculum.
- Be flexible and comfortable with infants
- Be willing to go where you are needed, if needed, with a smile and a helpful heart.
- Foster positive relationships with students that encourage exploration, creativity, and learning through play.
- Create warm connections with students' families as well as fellow teachers to promote the ideals of the program.
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among students, aligning with Conscious Discipline.
- Help to maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom and outdoor environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred.
- Familiarity with curriculum development and lesson planning is highly desirable.
- Experience working with students in a preschool setting is an asset.
- Knowledge of child welfare practices and behavior management techniques is beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.75 - $19.00 per hour
