Speedy Metals is a metal distributor that supplies both full bar and cut pieces of metal to its customers. We have a huge inventory of various shapes and sizes to meet our customers’ needs. We have four locations throughout WI, MI, and IL.
Speedy Metals of Rockford is looking to hire an individual to work as a Sales Assistant. This person will act as a liaison to provide product / services information and resolve any emerging problems that our customer service accounts might face with accuracy and efficiency. The best person would be genuinely excited to help customers. They're patient, empathetic, and passionately communicative. They love to talk. They can put themselves in their customers' shoes and advocate for them when necessary.
Job Description:
This person will assist members of our sales staff. Duties involve printing sales orders and providing answers to customer inquiries and follow-up on customers' orders. This individual will also work directly with warehouse staff to expedite customers' orders.
Our office has a casual setting but selling and servicing our customers is fast-paced and requires an energetic person with the ability to multi-task.
The perfect candidate will need to meet the following qualifications;
-Previous administrative or customer service experience
-Above average computer experience
-Exceptional communication skills
-Excellent attendance
-Friendly, outgoing, able to easily get along with others and work as a team
This is an on-site, full-time position, Monday through Friday.
Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can work independently. Experience in various offices and accounting software programs helpful. Must be skilled in time management with the ability to prioritize tasks.
