Job Title: Sales Manager (Hotel)
Job Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for generating hotel revenue by selling guest rooms, group bookings, and corporate accounts. In a Courtyard-type hotel, the role is heavily focused on local business sales, corporate accounts, and small-to-mid group bookings rather than large convention business.
Key Responsibilities: Sales & Revenue Generation
- Develop and maintain corporate accounts (local businesses, travel accounts, government, etc.)
- Prospect and secure new business through cold calls, visits, and networking
- Sell guest rooms, group blocks, and negotiated rates
- Meet or exceed monthly/annual sales targets
Client Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with existing accounts
- Conduct regular client meetings and hotel tours
- Handle contract negotiations for corporate and group rates
- Ensure repeat business from key accounts
Group & Event Sales (limited scale)
- Handle small meetings and group bookings (not large conventions)
- Coordinate with operations team for group arrivals and requirements
- Ensure smooth execution of group stays
Reporting & Strategy
- Track sales performance and revenue production
- Maintain account database (CRM systems like Salesforce or Marriott systems)
- Report market trends and competitor activity to Director of Sales
- Assist in monthly forecasting
Internal Coordination
- Work with front desk and operations teams to ensure guest satisfaction
- Coordinate with revenue management on pricing and availability
- Support marketing promotions and Marriott brand initiatives
Skills Required
- Strong B2B sales experience
- Communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build long-term client relationships
- Knowledge of hotel PMS/Marriott systems (preferred)
- Self-motivated and target-driven
Typical Experience Needed
- 1–3+ years in hotel sales or hospitality sales (sometimes outside sales accepted)
- Experience with corporate accounts is a strong advantage
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
