Duties:
- Inspecting boats for damage and defects, using tools such as lifts and hoists to raise the boat out of the water
- Cleaning boats using power washers, hand brushes, or other tools to remove biofilm, algae, barnacles, and other growths from the hull
- Repairing scratches and dents in boat hulls using fiberglass and polyester resins
- Inspecting and repairing boat interiors, including upholstery, carpeting, and wood paneling
- Cleaning and polishing boats with soap and wax, or applying paint and varnish to protect surfaces from deterioration
- Cleaning, polishing, and waxing the exterior of a boat, including removing dirt and stains from the deck, hull, and cabin areas
- Repairing dents in boat hulls using fiberglass and polyester resins, as well as grinding away damaged areas of the hull
- Inspecting life jackets and other safety equipment to ensure they are in good condition
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in buffing and polishing to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Strong attention to detail in cleaning and maintaining boat interiors and exteriors.
- Knowledge of proper Boat washing techniques to avoid damage to the paintwork.
- Ability to operate company vehicles and a Bobcat safely and responsibly.
- Basic custodial skills to maintain cleanliness in the work area.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with clients in a friendly and professional manner.
