PROtect, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting operational decision-making, and maintaining compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for month-end close activities, project accounting, revenue recognition, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. What You'll Do
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
- Prepare monthly journal entries and assist with month-end close activities.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and analyze account fluctuations.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly GAAP financial statements and reporting packages.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Project Accounting & Revenue Recognition
- Lead project accounting activities for assigned divisions.
- Manage monthly revenue recognition processes.
- Coordinate time-and-material and fixed-price project billings.
- Support sales and use tax reporting requirements.
- Prepare monthly financial reports for operational leadership.
Accounts Receivable & Payable
- Review and maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
- Ensure customer payments are applied accurately and timely.
- Assist with collections and account reconciliations as needed.
Process Improvement & Business Support
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Develop reporting and performance metrics that support business decisions.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on accounting systems and assist with employee training.
- Support annual audits, tax preparation activities, and special projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2+ years of accounting or finance experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and accounting practices.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional analytical and business math skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Public accounting experience.
- Experience with project accounting and revenue recognition.
- Experience supporting audits and financial reporting processes.
