Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Full-Time General Cleaner with EMS certification to join our dynamic team in, IN. This role offers an exciting opportunity to maintain clean, safe, and healthy facilities by performing comprehensive cleaning and custodial tasks while adhering to safety protocols and utilizing specialized cleaning equipment.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using floor buffers and other custodial tools.
- Handle chemical agents safely while conducting sanitation procedures in accordance with safety protocols.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and scrubbers to ensure optimal cleanliness.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs and upkeep to support a safe environment.
- Follow proper manual handling and heavy lifting techniques to move supplies or equipment without risk of injury.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and safety compliance during each shift.
- Support customer service efforts by ensuring facilities are clean, welcoming, and well-maintained.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial or custodial cleaning with a strong understanding of janitorial procedures.
- Skilled in handling chemical agents safely and following chemical handling safety procedures.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors.
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment efficiently and safely.
- Familiarity with sanitation standards and safety protocol adherence in a professional setting.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while maintaining safe lifting practices.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
