Duties
- Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and estate tax returns with precision and adherence to current tax laws and regulations
- Conduct detailed financial statement preparation, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Perform complex account reconciliations, general ledger analysis, and double-entry bookkeeping to ensure accuracy across all financial records
- Manage regulatory compliance accounting tasks such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and regulatory reporting requirements
- Provide expert guidance on estate planning, wills, trusts, estate law, and securities law to clients seeking comprehensive financial solutions
- Analyze financial data for mergers & acquisitions, private equity investments, or asset management projects while offering insightful financial report interpretation
- Utilize advanced accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or other financial software tools for efficient bookkeeping and reporting
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain complex tax concepts, assist with tax reporting strategies, and ensure timely tax return preparation
- Support internal teams with auditing procedures, internal controls implementation, and compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting and finance roles with a focus on tax compliance and public accounting practices
- Strong expertise in corporate accounting, individual tax preparation, tax law, and regulatory compliance accounting
- Familiarity with estate planning tools such as wills and trusts; knowledge of securities law is a plus
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or similar platforms; experience with Quicken is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data accurately and interpret complex financial reports
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Experience working within GAAP standards; knowledge of SOX controls is desirable
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments
- Required Associate`s or Bachelor`s Degree in Accounting
