GCG Associates is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer / Project Manager to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys managing projects from concept through construction while working directly with clients, municipalities, and multidisciplinary project teams.
For nearly 40 years, GCG Associates has provided civil engineering and land surveying services throughout Massachusetts. Our projects include municipal infrastructure, roadway improvements, water and sewer systems, stormwater management, site development, subdivision design, utility improvements, and construction administration for both public and private clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage multiple civil engineering projects from planning and permitting through final design and construction.
- Prepare and oversee the design of roadway, drainage, stormwater, water, sewer, wastewater, and site development projects.
- Develop plans, specifications, cost estimates, technical reports, and construction documents.
- Coordinate permitting with local, state, and regulatory agencies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, municipalities, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Lead project meetings and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
- Review engineering plans and calculations for quality and accuracy.
- Assist with construction administration, field observations, and project closeout.
- Support business development efforts by developing client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS
We’re looking for an experienced engineer who enjoys managing projects, solving complex engineering challenges, and working collaboratively with clients and staff.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Approximately 7+ years of civil engineering experience with demonstrated project management responsibilities. Candidates with additional or slightly less experience who possess the right skills and leadership qualities are encouraged to apply.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain Massachusetts licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
- Experience managing municipal infrastructure and/or land development projects.
- Strong knowledge of roadway, drainage, stormwater, water, sewer, and utility design.
- Experience with Massachusetts permitting requirements, including MassDEP Stormwater Standards and local permitting processes.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
