Reports To: Facilities Operations Director and/or Site Manager
Summary: Facilities/Maintenance Team Member duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to the following:
Pali Mountain is seeking facility/maintenance staff to help maintain our beautiful site. We operate as a summer camp, outdoor education facility, and retreat center. Facilities staff play an integral part in keeping Pali operating and safe for our guests. Responsibilities include general maintenance in the form of painting, fixing toilets, carpentry, landscaping, working with power tools, as well as heavy machinery. Pali has guests and operates 365 days a year, this includes inclement weather.
Pali facilities staff have access to tools for work as well as on-site transportation to get around the site and access the shop during work hours. Duties are dependent on program needs as well as issues that come up.
Must be 18yrs or older to apply. Experience is a must.

Physically able to lift 50lbs, walk-up three flights of stairs, bend, kneel, stoop, squat, work outdoors in inclement weather, use hand tools such as shovels, ability to use power tools

Job Duties:
Maintenance team members are responsible for responding to all maintenance duties and requests as instructed including the following but not limited to,
Maintenance Tech 1 - Entry Level
-
Perform general labor, such as carrying, stacking, andsortingof materials used in and around various job sites, as well as debris removal.

Using employer supplied vehicles for travel to pick up supplies and parts as needed.

Loading and unloading of materials, tools, and equipment.
-
Removing debris, garbage, and dangerous materials from sites.
-
Assembling and breaking down barricades, temporary structures, and scaffolding.
-
Assistingcontractors,e.g.electricians and painters, asrequired.
-
Assistingwith transport and operation of heavy machinery and equipment.
-
Digging holes, tunnels, and shafts.
-
Assistingwith mixing, pouring, and leveling concrete.
-
Patch painting, changing out lights, locks, basic plumbing, tiling, drywall
-
Clean up job site and equipmentby means ofvacuum, mop, broom, floor scrubber, waxer, steam cleaner, high-pressure spray cleaner, as well as other types of cleaning devices or equipment

Clearing drains,by means ofplunger and hand-held auger.

Changing light bulbs and HVAC filters.

Facilities staff will helpinsnow removal as well as weed abatement and landscaping.

Ensures on-site and off-site housing service requests are responded to promptly and professionally.

Complies withall Company practices, applicable health and safety rules and regulations, as well asapplicablelocal,stateand federal laws.

Inspects buildings and grounds to ensure safety andcleanliness, and alerts Site Manager to items that need repaired or replaced.

Participates in diagnosing problemsandrepairs in areas of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, swimming pool, carpentry, dry walling, exterior and interiorstructuraland various appliances.

Ability to use all standard maintenance equipment.

Ability to use general office equipment, such astelephone,computer, faxmachine,printersand copiers.

Maintenance Tech 2 - Intermediate

Includes Maintenance Tech 1 duties and skills +

Greater knowledge in a particular trade (I.e., plumbing, electrical, etc.,)

5+years' experiencein construction related trades

Large construction tool experience (I.e., chainsaw, jackhammer, demo hammer, etc.,)
-
Driven equipment experience (I.e., skid steer, backhoe, boom lift, etc.,)
Maintenance Tech 3 - Advanced
-
Includes Maintenance Tech 1 & 2 duties and skills +
-
Greater knowledge in multiple construction trades
-
Licensed in 1 or more trades
-
10+years' experience
-
Ability to supervise a small crew in a project environment

Ability to meettimeframesand deadlines
-
Ability to communicate effectively via text,emailand other digital means
