Job Overview
Come join Rutland's longest running fresh made pizza and pasta shop. We are taking applications for all experience levels to help on the pizza line, food prep, general cleaning and dishes. Applicants over the age of 16 with Friday and weekend availability will be prioritized. Pay rate will be based on experience.
Duties
- Assist in food preparation by chopping, slicing, assembling ingredients, and following recipes accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by cleaning surfaces, utensils, equipment, and ensuring proper waste disposal.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and resetting dining areas promptly to ensure a welcoming environment for guests.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and equipment using safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently during service hours, ensuring timely delivery to guests.
- Support food running duties by delivering orders from the kitchen to the dining area swiftly and accurately.
- Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and billing when required.
- Follow strict food safety protocols related to food handling, storage, and sanitation standards.
- Assist with banquet setups or special event catering as needed, providing excellent guest services in a variety of settings.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure a seamless dining experience for all guests.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is a plus but not required
- Familiarity with kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and cleaning procedures.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques is essential.
- Prior hospitality or hotel experience can be beneficial in understanding guest services expectations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team are crucial for success in this role.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and manual handling safely throughout shifts.
