Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and experienced Owner Operators and Fleet Owners to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will leverage your own commercial trucks to provide reliable freight delivery services across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Your expertise in managing logistics, handling cargo, and adhering to safety regulations will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. This position offers an exciting opportunity for autonomous drivers with a passion for efficient transportation and excellent customer service.
Duties
- Operate your own tractor-trailer units, including refrigerated trailers, 24ft -26ft box trucks dually trucks with 40 ft Goose neck trailers flatbeds, tankers, or specialized equipment such as dump trucks or roll-off trucks.
- Plan and execute route driving efficiently using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules and reduce transit times.
- Load and unload freight safely, ensuring proper handling of hazardous materials and dangerous goods in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
- Transport freight over long distances across OTR routes, maintaining compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and hazardous materials regulations.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips, including checking for mechanical issues, safety hazards, and load security.
- Manage documentation related to freight shipments, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and logs that meet FMCSA standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate deliveries, report issues promptly, and ensure smooth operations throughout the transportation process.
Requirements
- NON CDL AND Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the equipment operated (e.g., hazmat, tanker).
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across OTR routes.
