Class A CDL Driver position based in Theodore, Alabama (near Mobile). This role combines local truck delivery and logistics with shop-based support work. Drivers operate specialized industrial vehicles (Straight Vacs, Hydrovacs, and similar equipment) delivering to customer locations and managing fleet maintenance when not on the road. The position suits experienced drivers seeking local work with varied daily responsibilities rather than long-haul driving. Must be able to drive manual transmissions.
Must-haves:
Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker endorsement or ability to obtain within 30 days
35 years of heavy commercial vehicle experience
Clean driving record
Familiarity with hauling industrial and specialty equipment
Ability to comply with DOT regulations (hours-of-service, vehicle inspections, logbook management)
Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills
Willingness to perform non-driving tasks (truck washing, inventory management, parts running, pre/post-delivery inspections)
Must be able to drive manual transmission
Nice-to-haves:
Experience with Straight Vacs, Hydrovacs, or similar specialized equipment operation
Ability to demonstrate equipment function to customers
Previous experience with route planning and logistics software
2+ years of heavy commercial experience (minimum acceptable if exceptionally strong candidate)
Wage: $28$33/hour (base) overtime after 40 hours/week
$1 raise after 90 days
$1,000 sign-on bonus after 120 days
$200 annual boot allowance
