Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team in providing exceptional food service to our residents. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and serving of meals, ensuring that all dietary needs are met with care and attention. This role is essential in creating a positive dining experience for individuals in an assisted living environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to food safety standards.
- Buss tables and assist with the setup and breakdown of dining services.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain efficient food production processes.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding to resident inquiries and accommodating special requests.
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Participate in training sessions related to dietetics, food safety, and culinary skills.
Skills
- Knowledge of dietetics and food industry standards is preferred.
- Experience in food production or food service, particularly in an assisted living or healthcare setting, is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members.
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, including bussing and cleaning duties.
- Understanding of food safety practices to ensure a safe dining environment.
- Culinary skills that enhance meal presentation and resident satisfaction are beneficial.
