Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for prepping exceptionally accurate portions, baking some of our signatire breads and products, while preparing high-quality deli products. You will play a key role in ensuring that our customers have our distinguished, top-quality food, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and contributing to the overall success of our deli department.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their deli needs.
- Prepare a variety of deli products, including meats, cheeses, salads, breads, and baked goods.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the deli area by following food safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a grocery store or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and sanitation practices.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
