ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for producing high quality flow cells, microfluidic devices, and other product solutions manufactured by the company.
- Set up and operate Fanuc Robodrill vertical milling machines for short-run and production machining
- Load programs, set work offsets, tool offsets, and verify program accuracy prior to production
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings and GD&T callouts
- Perform first-article inspections and in-process checks using precision measuring tools
- Select, install, and adjust tooling, fixtures, and workholding
- Make minor program edits at the machine (tool offsets, wear compensation, minor code adjustments)
- Troubleshoot machining issues including tool wear, part quality, and dimensional variation
- Maintain consistent quality standards and adhere to documented work instructions
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to improve processes and efficiency
- Follow all safety, quality, and ISO/QMS procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience in medical, micro-machining, aerospace, or high-precision manufacturing
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls and basic G-code
- Experience working in an ISO-certified or AS 9100 manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of tooling selection and cutting parameters for various materials
- Ability to support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
- QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of CNC setup experience in a precision machining environment
- Hands-on experience setting up and running vertical milling machines (Fanuc Robodrill strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation
- Proficient with precision inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators, etc.)
- Experience setting work offsets and tool offsets
- Ability to identify and resolve machining and dimensional issues independently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to walk, stand, kneel, crouch, use hands/arms and lift/move up to 25 pounds.
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
