Business Development Representative (BDR) -- Amazon Marketplace Services
Company: Enceiba LLC
Location: In Office - Scottsdale Arizona
Job Type: Full-time
Reports to: Managing Partner
Industry: Amazon Marketplace Services / eCommerce
About Enceiba
Enceiba partners with established manufacturers and brands to grow, optimize, and protect their Amazon sales channels. Our clients are well-known names in the trades, industrial, and consumer products space -- companies that make great products but need a dedicated team to turn Amazon into a serious revenue channel. Our track record includes scaling brands from zero to $30M+ in Amazon revenue, achieving dominant buy box positions, and driving double-digit B2B growth through Amazon Business.
We are a small, high-performance team. Every person here moves the needle.
The Role
We are hiring a Business Development Representative to be the tip of the spear. Your job is to find manufacturers and brands who are underperforming on Amazon -- or who know they're leaving money on the table -- start the conversation, qualify the opportunity, and book a discovery meeting for one of our Account Executives.
You are the top of the funnel. You do not run full sales cycles, write proposals, or close deals -- that's the AE's job. You do not onboard clients or manage accounts -- that's operations. Your one job is to create qualified pipeline: the right prospects, warmed up and booked, handed cleanly to an AE.
This is not a technical role. You do not need to know how Amazon's algorithm works or how advertising campaigns are optimized. What you need is the hustle to reach the right people, the curiosity to figure out whether there's a real problem worth solving, and the discipline to keep your pipeline full.
Your strength is in starting conversations that turn into meetings.
What You'll Do
- Build and work targeted prospect lists of manufacturers and brands who fit our ideal client profile
- Run high-volume, personalized outbound across email, phone, and LinkedIn -- tailored by industry and by the decision-maker you're trying to reach
- Open conversations that uncover whether a prospect has a real Amazon problem -- revenue decline, channel chaos, unauthorized resellers, competitive pressure -- and whether they have the authority and budget to fix it
- Qualify against clear criteria (fit, pain, authority, timing) so that every meeting you book is a meeting worth an AE's time
- Book and confirm discovery meetings, and hand off a clean, well-documented brief to the Account Executive so they walk in already knowing the situation
- Keep every prospect, touch, and next step accurately logged in the CRM -- your pipeline is only as good as your data
- Review with Manager weekly to sharpen the ideal client profile, messaging, and outreach cadences over time
- Follow up relentlessly and professionally -- most meetings are booked on the fifth touch, not the first
Who You Are
You are relentless about activity. You understand this is a numbers game with a human touch. You don't wait for leads to come to you -- you go find them, and you keep the top of the funnel full even on the weeks when everyone's slow to respond.
You are curious, not pushy. On a first call your goal isn't to pitch -- it's to figure out fast whether there's a real problem here and whether this person can do something about it. You ask sharp questions and you listen to the answers.
You are organized. You live in the CRM. You know exactly who you touched, when, and what's next. Nothing falls through the cracks, and your forecasting is honest.
You are coachable and hungry to grow. This role is the launchpad to an Account Executive seat at Enceiba. You absorb feedback, sharpen your approach every week, and treat every "no" as data.
QualificationsRequired
- 1-2 years of sales, sales development, or lead generation experience (B2B preferred)
- A track record of hitting or exceeding activity and meeting-booked targets
- Comfort with high-volume outbound -- cold calls, email sequences, and LinkedIn outreach
- Strong written and verbal communication -- you can personalize a message and hold a confident phone conversation
- Disciplined CRM habits and attention to detail
- Self-directed and reliable in the office
Preferred
- Experience selling services (not just products)
- Familiarity with CRM and sales-engagement tools (HubSpot preferred; Salesforce, Outreach, Apollo, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator a plus)
- Exposure to eCommerce, digital marketing, or selling to manufacturers/industrial/B2B buyers (helpful, not required -- we'll teach you our space)
What Success Looks Like
- Ramp: fully productive and hitting activity targets by end of month 2
- Activity: consistent daily/weekly outbound volume (calls, emails, social touches) against a defined cadence
- Output: a target number of qualified discovery meetings booked and held per month, feeding the AE team
- Quality: high show-rate and high accept-rate on the meetings you hand off -- AEs trust your qualification
- Hygiene: accurate, up-to-date CRM records and honest pipeline reporting
Specific targets are set with your manager and reviewed monthly.
The Line Between BDR, AE, and Operations
- You (BDR): find prospects, qualify them, and book the meeting. You hand a qualified opportunity to an Account Executive.
- Account Executive: runs discovery through close and signs the client.
- Operations: takes the signed client and handles all onboarding and ongoing account management.
You never onboard or manage accounts. Your finish line is a qualified, booked meeting in an AE's calendar.

- On-Target Earnings (OTE): $60,000 - $75,000
- Commission and bonuses tied to qualified meetings booked/held and to opportunities that convert
