A to Z Security & Sound is hiring a Security Technician Apprentice to join our growing team. If you're mechanically inclined, enjoy working with your hands, and want to learn cutting-edge security technology, we'll provide the training you need to build a long-term career in the security industry.
You'll work alongside experienced technicians installing and servicing alarm systems, surveillance cameras, access control, gate operators, smart security systems, and other low-voltage technologies for residential, commercial, government, military, education, healthcare, and vacation rental clients across Northwest Florida.
What You'll Do
Assist with installing and servicing security systems
Pull and terminate low-voltage cable
Install cameras, alarms, access control, and gate systems
Learn to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment
Work safely with hand and power tools
Maintain a clean work vehicle and job site
Provide excellent customer service while learning from experienced technicians
What We're Looking For
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Valid driver's license with a good driving record
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a variety of environments
No security industry experience is required. We provide paid, hands-on training for the right candidate.
Experience in construction, electrical, HVAC, low-voltage, networking, locksmithing, maintenance, military, or other skilled trades is a plus, but not required.
