As a Packaging Engineer Co-Op at BIC, you will gain hands-on experience building a strong technical foundation in consumer packaged goods packaging. Working under the mentorship of experienced Packaging Engineers, you will support the design, development, testing, and implementation of structural packaging solutions across BIC’s portfolio. This role provides exposure to the full packaging lifecycle—from concept through commercialization—while collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams and external suppliers.
Support the design, evaluation, and continuous improvement of structural packaging solutions across all BIC categories, including Stationery, Lighters, and Shavers.
Assist with packaging development projects from early concept through production, including material selection, cost considerations, manufacturability, and sustainability opportunities.
Create, update, and maintain detailed packaging specifications, including package drawings, die lines, pallet patterns, and packaging documentation.
Participate in package testing and validation activities to ensure compliance with performance, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and external packaging partners to support project execution and issue resolution.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance packaging efficiency, reduce costs, improve sustainability, and minimize waste.
Work Environment & Location:
The remaining workdays may be completed remotely, based on business needs, team collaboration, and project requirements.
