AeroGo seeks an experienced Mechanical Assembler to join the team on our swing shift (2:30pm - 11:00pm). Job Summary
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for the complete assembly of industrial equipment from drawings. Duties include mechanical assembly and service diagnostics of pneumatic and hydraulic systems and drives. The successful candidate will have 5+ years of previous experience manufacturing industrial equipment and be a team player. This position reports to the Production Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Technical mechanical assembly of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, as well as basic electrical systems.
- Diligence for getting work done on time and correctly
- Strong follow-through on delegated tasks and assignments
- Assemble industrial vehicles and subassemblies.
- Read and understand blueprints, diagrams, drawings, and schematics.
- Troubleshoot operation of devices.
- Use a variety of tools and equipment such as measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Reserved, factual, formal and sincere communication.
- Adhere to manufacturing plant safety standards.
- Accurately record time and hours for job costing purposes.
- Promote a positive work environment by modeling company core values.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Five (5) years of mechanical assembly required.
- Familiarity and experience with the following:
- Reading and interpreting complex mechanical and assembly drawings
- Use of a wide variety of hand and power tools.
- Use of precision measuring tools.
- Pneumatic components including valves, solenoid valves, regulators, pressure transducers, flow controls, etc.
- Pipe thread fittings, hydraulic hose fittings, compression fittings and related commercial hardware.
- Power transmission components including gears, chain and sprockets, gearboxes, belt drives, brakes and clutches, shaft couplings, leadscrews, etc.
- Installation, removal, and handling of bearings and seals.
- Selection of appropriate industrial adhesives, sealants, and lubricants.
- Standard fasteners including SAE and metric thread specifications.
- Distinctions between grades of bolts and their rated load capacities.
- Determining appropriate torque values for assembly of fasteners.
- Use of standard machine shop equipment including manual lathes and mills.
- Experience with motion control systems and PLC’s a plus.
- Mathematical skills including calculating percentages, area, circumference, volume, and conversion of Units of Measure and Weights.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to be self-directed, requiring minimal supervision.
- Experience driving a forklift preferred.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively across departments while building trusting relationships and positively influencing others.
Hours
Shift hours are Monday - Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM with overtime opportunities. Training will take place on Day Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) before our swing shift starts on October 1st.
Compensation and Benefits:
This an hourly, non-exempt position with starting pay range of $30.00 – $45.00 per hour depending on experience. Swing shift differential pay is $1.50 extra. There is an annual profit share bonus for meeting production goals.

Physical Requirements
The position requires working in a factory environment which may include hot, cold, or noisy conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Also required is the ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, to lift up to 50lbs, climb ladders and stairs, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool, as necessary. Must be able to walk extended distances over uneven ground while wearing proper PPE.
