As a Security Officer Armed Healthcare Rover in Fort Lauderdale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a government healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will respond to site needs with agility, work as part of a reliable team, and bring integrity and innovation to daily security-related responsibilities.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.

Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and document incidents, observations, and/or security-related concerns according to site protocols.

Support law enforcement, first responders, and/or site personnel during emergencies, medical incidents, evacuations, and other situations requiring a coordinated response.
Minimum Requirements:

Possess an armed guard card or license.

Have 2 or more years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.

Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
