American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Outpatient Surgery/OR position requiring 2 years of plastics surgery experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Ambulatory OR setting within an outpatient surgery center
-
Supports plastics, podiatry, general surgery, ENT, pediatric ENT, and oral surgery cases
-
Procedures include abdominoplasty, breast augmentation, fat grafting, free flap microvascular surgery, and mastectomy with tram flap reconstruction
-
Additional case types include bunionectomy, ankle fusion, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, thyroidectomy, endoscopic sinus procedures, tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, and pediatric dentistry

1:1 patient ratio

Monday through Friday day shift schedule (5x8 hours, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM)

No call, weekend, or holiday requirements

Active TX or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration

BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred

Minimum 2 years of experience in plastics surgery required

Altera charting experience preferred but not required

Travel experience preferred

Provide perioperative nursing care across a variety of outpatient surgical specialties

Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with mandatory clearance required for continued assignment

Candidates must reside within a 150-mile radius, as local candidates within this radius are not accepted

Previous permanent staff must have separated from employment for at least one year before returning as a traveler

Clinicians must be available to complete required lab work within 72 hours of accepting an offer or have a completion plan in place
