Responsibilities

- Implement instructional modifications and accommodations for students with disabilities or special needs, including those with developmental disabilities, autism, or visual impairments.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies and behavior therapy techniques.
- Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and parents to create comprehensive Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ensure educational compliance.
- Assess student progress regularly using standardized testing, formative assessments, and observational data; adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain detailed records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral incidents in accordance with educational regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Child Development or related field; advanced certifications preferred.
- Proven experience working with children or students with disabilities in classroom settings.
- Strong knowledge of special education law, IEP development, instructional modifications, and behavioral health strategies.
- Proficiency in learning technology platforms, educational software, and instructional design tools.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration.
- Familiarity with speech therapy techniques, behavioral therapy (including applied behavior analysis), music therapy, and recreational therapy is a plus.
- Ability to manage classroom environments confidently while fostering a safe, inclusive space for all learners.
