Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders accurately and efficiently.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions and handle cash accurately.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee, food supplies, and other necessary items.
- Provide recommendations to customers based on their preferences to enhance their experience.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Uphold health and safety standards in food preparation and service.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or the café industry is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Familiarity with retail math concepts for accurate cash handling is beneficial.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Willingness to learn about new products and techniques related to coffee preparation.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends.
