Overview
Carpenter Helper will assist carpenter on exterior carpentry projects such as deck builds, pergolas, etc. During the winter months bath & kitchen remodels.
Mon-Friday work week depending on weather. Occasional weekends.
No tools or experience required but is a plus,
Must be willing to show up everyday and work hard. No slackers.
Starting pay range: $18-$20 per hour depending on experience and tools. Will know right away day one if your capable of doing what you say you can do.
Duties
- Assist skilled carpenters with framing, decking, railings, and remodel projects
- Prepare and organize construction sites by loading/unloading materials, setting up scaffolding, and handling hand tools and power tools safely
- Perform heavy lifting tasks, including moving materials like lumber, concrete, etc.
- Follow all safety protocols related to power tool operation, scaffold use, and construction site safety standards
Skills
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools with a focus on safety (power tool safety)
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and long hours on-site in various weather conditions
