American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position at a critical access hospital in California, requiring active CA licensure, TNCC, and a minimum of 2 years of ED experience on NOC shifts.

Critical access hospital setting with 22 acute beds and 99 long-term care beds

Emergency Department (ED) unit

NOC shift: 4:00 PM – 4:30 AM

36 hours per week

13-week contract

Active California RN license in good standing required
-
Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required

Required certifications: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting, and walking throughout the shift

DOB and SSN may be required for consideration

Conducts individualized patient assessments and develops care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team

Performs treatments and assigned tasks including EKGs, blood draws, and IV starts
-
Initiates emergency resuscitative measures per resuscitation protocols
-
Provides patient and family education and maintains accurate, timely documentation

Reports directly to the on-duty Charge Nurse and Nursing Supervisor

Must be able to multi-task efficiently and respond quickly during onset of acute illness or trauma

Professional appearance and adherence to dress code required

Willingness to assist in other departments as needed
