Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, coordinating vehicle repairs and maintenance while ensuring exceptional service experiences. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Prior dealership experience and automotive diagnostics knowledge are highly valued to facilitate accurate service writing and upselling opportunities.
Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing a positive rapport
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
- Communicate effectively with technicians regarding repair needs and estimated timeframes
- Prepare detailed service estimates, including auto estimating and repair recommendations
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, suspension work, brake repairs, fluid flushes, shocks & struts, filters, belts & hoses & more when appropriate
- Manage service write-ups and ensure all work orders are complete and accurate
- Handle cash transactions and process payments securely
- Follow up with customers on vehicle status and ensure satisfaction upon completion of services
- Maintain thorough knowledge of automotive repair procedures to assist with customer questions and vehicle diagnostics
Skills
- Proven experience in auto service background
- Strong automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures
- Experience with auto estimating, service writing, and automotive repair processes
- Knowledge of automotive procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Ability to upsell services tactfully while maintaining customer trust
- POS handling experience and proficiency in managing service transactions
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple service orders simultaneously

Pay: $40,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
