POSITION SUMMARY
The Facilities Support Technician is responsible for providing support to both the Maintenance and Housekeeping departments to ensure the community remains safe, clean, functional, and welcoming for residents, visitors, and team members. This position performs a variety of housekeeping, maintenance, and groundskeeping duties and assists with routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and environmental services. The Facilities Support Technician works under the direction of the Maintenance Director and collaborates with other departments to meet the daily operational needs of the community while maintaining compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Perform routine housekeeping duties throughout the community, including resident apartments, common areas, offices, restrooms, dining areas, and other assigned spaces in accordance with established cleaning procedures.
- Clean and sanitize floors, furniture, fixtures, windows, vents, shelves, ledges, equipment, and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning products and disinfectants.
- Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and maintain a clean and sanitary environment throughout the community.
- Prepare resident rooms for new occupancy by completing cleaning and sanitation procedures after a resident has vacated.
- Monitor housekeeping supply levels and notify the Maintenance Director when additional supplies are needed.
- Inspect furnishings, equipment, and building components for damage, wear, or safety concerns and report findings promptly.
- Assist with routine building maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall repair, furniture assembly, fixture replacement, and other general maintenance tasks within the scope of training.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks and assist with maintaining required maintenance logs and documentation.
- Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies for resident move-ins, events, or departmental needs.
- Help maintain the exterior appearance of the community, including sidewalks, parking areas, courtyards, landscaping, and grounds as assigned.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and housekeeping needs while prioritizing resident safety and customer service.
- Safely operate housekeeping and maintenance equipment, tools, and machinery according to manufacturer recommendations and company policies.
- Follow all safety procedures, infection control practices, OSHA guidelines, and community policies while performing assigned duties.
- Maintain a professional, courteous, and service-oriented attitude when interacting with residents, families, visitors, vendors, and fellow team members.
- Support special projects, emergency response efforts, and community events as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Previous experience in housekeeping, maintenance, facilities, hospitality, healthcare, senior living, or a related field preferred.
- General knowledge of building maintenance, housekeeping practices, and safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance repairs.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to successfully complete required background checks and training.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 25–75 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, reach overhead, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
- Ability to safely operate housekeeping equipment, maintenance tools, and power equipment.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and emergency call-ins as needed.
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
