Kenric Steel is seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to support our fabrication and shipping operations. This position is responsible for safely loading and unloading structural stairs, railings, and fabricated structural components onto trucks for delivery. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and experienced working in an industrial or steel fabrication environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move and load structural stairs, railings, and fabricated materials
- Safely load trucks for delivery while ensuring proper weight distribution and secure placement
- Assist with staging materials for shipping and production
- Perform daily forklift inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Work closely with shop and shipping teams to meet delivery schedules
- Maintain a clean and organized loading area
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
Requirements:
- Prior forklift experience required
- Experience in steel fabrication, construction materials, or heavy industrial environments preferred
- Ability to safely handle heavy and oversized steel components
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment
- Reliable and punctual
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
