Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately across various vehicle systems.
- Repair and maintain powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and drivetrain systems, ensuring efficient operation.
- Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs and alignments to enhance ride quality and handling.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems such as automotive electrical systems and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to execute repairs with precision and safety.
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, vehicle transmission systems, and other complex mechanical components.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly, managing auto estimating processes, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service experience.
Requirements
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, schematics interpretation, and electrical system troubleshooting.
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance, powertrain components, transmissions, and vehicle suspension systems.
- Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred but not mandatory.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive repair machinery.
- Ability to read automotive wiring diagrams accurately and interpret complex schematics.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism.
- Valid mechanic license or certification is highly desirable; ongoing training is encouraged to stay current with industry advancements.
