Summary/objective: The Program Monitor position is an entry-level position. The Program Monitor ensures the safety and security of Recovery Point West Virginia residents and handles a variety of situations and communicates with Leadership staff when it is necessary.

Maintain an environment that is fully consistent with the Recovery Point West Virginia social recovery model.

Evaluate withdrawal symptoms and monitor blood pressure.

Perform security checks on Recovery Point West Virginia Property.

Intervenes in potential conflicts to minimize disruption of program activities and/or injury to involved parties.

Handle after-hour emergency situations, communicating with Leadership staff when necessary.
- Assist residents to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
- Respond to various situations and take appropriate action to resolve immediate safety and/or security concerns.

Monitor medications and log medication times.

Other duties as assigned.
Education/Qualifications: Must have High School Diploma or GED. Experience working in recovery is a plus. Must have a flexible schedule.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Work Environment: Work is often performed in an office setting and the noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.
Physical Demands: While performing duties of this job, employee may periodically bend, stoop or crouch; and frequently communicates with others. While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk and hear; use hands to handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. May occasionally be required to lift to 20 lbs. Travel is required.
