Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems including air conditioning units, heating units and geothermal equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to accurately troubleshoot issues and execute repairs.
- Conduct installation of new HVAC equipment and systems in accordance with industry standards and safety protocols.
- Utilize specialized tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for mechanical repairs.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and reports to ensure accurate documentation of all activities performed.
- Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely to transport tools, parts, or equipment between job sites while adhering to all traffic laws.
Skills
- Extensive experience in construction environments with a strong background as a service technician specializing in HVAC systems.
- Proficient in reading schematics and technical drawings related to HVAC design and mechanical systems.
- Mechanical knowledge operation, appliance repair, welding techniques, and property maintenance.
- Field service expertise with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently and perform equipment repair on-site under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with HVAC certifications such as refrigerant handling and electrical safety standards.
- Strong troubleshooting skills using tools like ohmmeters; capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
