Summary:
The Facility Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the Blackhawks Ice Center. This position is responsible for overseeing daily facility activities, supervising staff, and maintaining a high standard of customer service and facility upkeep during assigned shifts. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise, train, and mentor facility staff members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Contribute significantly to staff performance management, including recommendations for hiring, training, disciplinary actions, and terminations.

Manage overall facility operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of all areas.

Provide exceptional customer service and foster a positive experience for all facility users and guests.

Prioritize and enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all patrons and staff.

Complete and accurately document all accident and incident reports.

Operate ice resurfacing equipment to maintain optimal ice quality (if applicable to specific rink operations).

Operate various maintenance equipment to ensure superior playing surface quality across all facility areas.

Oversee the efficient operation of the point-of-sale (POS) system during shifts.

Perform daily POS system reconciliation and cash handling procedures.

Provide oversight and support to coaching staff, referees, and scorekeepers in the absence of the Director.
Qualifications:

Previous experience in facility operations or a similar supervisory role, preferably within a sports or entertainment venue.

Demonstrated strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to effectively train, motivate, and manage a team.

Proficiency in operating facility-specific equipment, including ice resurfacers and other maintenance tools.

Basic computer proficiency, including experience with point-of-sale systems.

Physical Requirements:
