Duties
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in the kitchen area
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and portioning of ingredients
- Support catering events and special functions with timely meal preparation and service
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy hours
- Use knife skills efficiently to chop, slice, and prepare ingredients for various dishes
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles within restaurants or food service environments
- Knowledge of food handling safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
- Experience working in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward serving customers and supporting colleagues
