The Admissions Consultant directly serves the clients and provides college admission counseling advice to students.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one college counseling to students and their parents
- Manage college planning process
- Familiar with high school curriculum & rigor, extracurricular activities, & summer programs
- Guide students to build their passions toward research and career
- Manage college application process & help students get into very competitive colleges
- Familiar with selective college & decision plans involving Early Decision and Early Action
- Communicate with students & parents efficiently
- Conduct research, update student online portal profile, and generate reports to accomplish the procedure
- Report regularly to Manager updates and issues in services
- Assist in other works that may be deemed necessary or are assigned by Manager
Qualifications
- Master's degree or Ph.D candidates of CS/DS/AI/STEM/or Engineering from a highly selective research university required
- 2 years of counseling/teaching/researching experience required
- Graduated from a US high school with knowledge and experience of high school curriculum & rigor, activities, and standardized tests required
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Organized, detail oriented, warm, and patient
- Proficient on using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
- Comfortable with using online video conference tool
