Job Description
Position Title: Bakery First Person
Job Summary:
To produce all bakery goods and other related products.
Days of the week: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays. 6am-2pm
Essential Job Functions:
- Pan up frozen products.
- Fry, bake, glaze and fill donuts.
- Load and unload oven. Know the proper temperatures to bake all varieties of products.
- Operate all equipment in department such as mixer and deep fryer.
- Follow all company open day policies.
- Prepare pan and work dough.
- Maintain all varieties of product on bakery shelves throughout the day.
- Maintain good communication with bakery manager and bakery crew.
- Maintain company’s high standards of quality of product.
- Control all thaw and sell products on the shelves daily.
- Follow table promotion program.
- Maintain a regular cleaning and sanitation program.
- Must comply with all applicable laws regarding safety, health and packaging requirements.
- Greet as many customers as possible to our store.
- Maintain a neat personal appearance according to company’s dress code policy.
Supplemental Job Functions:
- Do as much afternoon baking as possible of all baked products
- First baker to direct and supervise the functions and activities of the bakery department in the absence of the Bakery Manager.
Minimum Knowledge, Skill and Abilities Required:
- Must have dexterity in arms and hands.
- Must be able to lift up to seventy pounds (70#’s) flour, up to thirty percent (30%) of the time.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to hazardous conditions associated with operation of mechanical, electrical and gas (where applicable) equipment, hazardous chemicals, and extreme heat due to oven temperatures. Hazards are limited when established safety procedures are followed.
- Exposed to extreme heat up to fifty percent (50%) of the time. Exposed to extreme cold of up to minus fifteen degrees (-15 o’s) from freezer for up to twenty five percent (25%) of the time.
