RQS Construction Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in coordinating and supervising construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with quality standards. Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and supervision of construction projects.
- Monitor daily construction activities to ensure work is completed according to project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to maintain project schedules.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and other technical documents.
- Perform site inspections and identify potential issues or safety concerns.
- Prepare daily reports, project documentation, and progress updates.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and applicable building codes.
- Support project managers with estimating, scheduling, and other engineering-related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
- 1+ year of construction or engineering experience is preferred, but entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with Bluebeam, Procore, AutoCAD, or Microsoft Project is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to company job sites.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to communicate in Vietnamese is preferred.
